While the population of New Orleans has not returned to pre-Katrina levels, the proportion of population in the crime committing ages has returned disproportionately. This explains the high rate of crime and murder in New Orleans these days. We only hope the new governor will make sure that these young punks get plenty of free state-funded housing, plus three hots and a cot in West Feliciana Parish. It is time for the state to use all of that land at Angola to build more barracks and house more criminals.
When asked about the crime problem, last place gubernatorial candidate Walter Boasso said that he would negotiate with the gun and ammunition manufacturers to make safer bullets that come down on New Years Eve in New Orleans.
